I'd take pictures...

but first, I'd have to find the fresh batteries. The house looks like a war zone cause RTO's been antsy to have the foundation repaired and we could finally afford it and several piers are in the house. yipee!

on the bright side, the dogs are behaving. had to take the gates down and they haven't bothered the kitties. Not sure how RTO does it.

Anyhoo, had our first rehearsal in the theater tonight and it went about like usual. really cranky director and very confused actors and an incomplete set. luckily though, this one doesn't have any high platforms, so no fearing for my life ten feet off the ground with no real railing.

um... yeah...

Got to come home early yesterday and MM told me to go ahead and take today off and spend time with RTO since he's finally home after a month. So what did we do today? took Roxie and Carlos to the vet (Sophie has hookworms, so we had to get medicine for everyone and since it was check up time for those two they had to go in) and then I passed out on the couch for a couple hours. heh.

Flowering Quince

Gradual Dazzle has a picture. I noticed a bit of it in McKinney the other day. I've got one, maybe, in the back corner of the yard, but I haven't gone out to see if it's blooming. I'm thinking not. I think the tree that has grown in it's spot probably isn't helping. Monster Rose Bush seems to be having the same problem. It didn't bloom much last year, and I don't think I'll need to trim it back as much as I usually do.

fun things....

The last few days have been... interesting. Thursday my phone died. It was kinda strange, I didn't get any kind of warning. I checked for messages noticed the battery was getting low and figured I'd charge it in the car on my way to work. Got to the office and... nothing. So all day, I was annoyed with it, but I drive by a mall with an Apple store, so I decided to stop there on the way home and see if it was something stupid that they could fix. no. it was not. They plugged it in and got nothing as well. so, I got a new phone. by that time, I was extra cranky and going to be late to rehearsal.

I do like that I can use the GPS more now, like when I walk the dogs it gives me a map instead of me having to go in and map it myself.

and the dog walk Saturday was hilarious, I guess. I just feel lucky that nobody got hurt. Both dogs got loose at different points. I lost my hold on Roxie's leash by the big scary dog house. They have I don't know how many dogs and we have to walk past the fence to get to the park. anyhoo, it's always an ordeal. And then a bit later, I was trying to adjust Sophie's collar so it would be easier to keep her lead short and she slipped out and took off. I caught her when she stopped to check out some other dogs. Everyone was cool about it, although Roxie did lunge at the tiny dog. So I cut the walk short.

This morning Roxie woke me up so I was going to just let the dogs out and go back to sleep, but noooooo, I'd left the gate open. Sophie was out of her collar again (it got caught in the crate) so I had to wrestle her to keep her from eating maggie and Roxie, whose been deathly afraid of the cats, is no help cause she has an ally now. Seriously, it's strange to watch her. Carlos pretty much stays on top of the bookcase in the front room so that's usually where the dogs head first. But this morning, they go there and once she realizes they aren't ever getting to Carlos, I could see the little light bulb go off in Roxie's brain, "I know where the other kitty hides" and she made a bee-line for the scary bedroom closet. so that's when I finally caught Sophie. maggie got slobbered on a little again, but was fine otherwise.

But on the plus side I wore some jeans today that I haven't worn in years and they were much more comfortable than the last time I wore them. W007!
