so I survived opening weekend....

not reading trash now, but comics! RTO gave me the Fables series in trade paperback for our anniversary, that's going to take me a while to get through. then it's back to the pile hopefully.

should get some reading done this week....

meanwhile, adding The Art of Racing in the Rain, Animal Dreams, and True Grit to the pile.

also, reading some Ambrose Bierce at the moment instead of trash, but I'll soon get back to that. particularly with noon to midnight tech rehearsals this weekend.  yippee!

giggling like a schoolgirl...

at this site.  that's probably going to be the extent of my political involvement this year.  just not wanting to get worked up about it.  back to reading trash.

update:
mom texts:  Definitely voting Romney/Ryan now.  Just heard that Ryan once drove the wiener mobile.  Woohoo! How V presidential.

yep, that does it for me.

come for the cd's...

stay for the really cheap books.  adding Snow Falling on Cedars, The Memory Keeper's Daughter, Cold Sassy TreeProdigal Summer, and The Haunting of Hill House.

Should finish Winds of War in the next couple days, then it's a bit of trash for the weekend and maybe till the show opens. we'll see.

national book award winners

for only a dollar! adding The Corrections and Cold Mountain to the pile.  still only about half way through Winds of War, but I seem to have black coffee more solid in my brain so hopefully I'll finish it this week.

if it's therapy day....

I'm probably stopping by at least one Half Price Books.  adding High Fidelity and The Small Rain to the pile.  Also picked up a couple of cook books. which I know seems silly with everything that's on the intertubes, but I seem to do better with tangible things.

also, still slogging through Winds of War. Maybe slogging isn't the right word, it's fine reading I just haven't had time to get into it much.
