beware of attack cat...

literally. i was trying to read the paper when someone knocked on the door. I think it was our new neighbor with their small child. she asked if the black and white kitty was ours. i've seen this kitty once before, but have no clue about where he lives or if anyone would claim him. anyway she said her son had been petting the kitty and it scratched him, he had a nice wound on his cheek. meanwhile the black and white kitty was on the sidewalk behind them rolling around being friendly looking. oh well. my kitties don't go outside. anyhoo this reminded me about laurence simon's new blog project, Catcall. he had a post the other day about cats and strangers. read the comments for some good pointers on safely approaching kitties.......or not.
