guess i only have time for fluff this week. again, sowwy.

OH, and the food processor showed up today!!!! I got an email yesterday that it had shipped and ETA was Tuesday, but it was on the porch TODAY!!!!! w007!

HIDE ME!!!

Melissa, a guest blogger at protein wisdom, posted a link to the Super Spy-o-matic.
the first result was this:

maggie katzen prefers Middle Eastern “hummus” to all-American Lipton onion dip.

as you can see in the comments, I paniced. so, uh, if i don't post for a few days, you'll know what happened to me.

so... Yawning....

voluntary or not?

I ask because last night the asst. dir. mentioned she saw some people yawning on stage. said it was rude/disrespectful (that term is thrown around a lot this production). anyhoo, i'll admit, i yawned, i thought i supressed it pretty well, but that's kinda hard to do when you're supposed to be frozen. who knows, maybe someone else was more blatant about it. just thought it was a weird thing to tell people to quit doing.

RRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

Arrrr!

since it's that day....

My pirate name is:

Black Jenny Bonney

Like anyone confronted with the harshness of robbery on the high seas, you can be pessimistic at times. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

another frozen food fave....

probably for dinner tonight. 8" Archer Farms™ Self Rising Crust Frozen Pizzas. can't find a picture online. oh well. it's the Target house brand. I used to always get Red Baron deep dish singles, but they were out one time so i tried one of the Archer Farms things. mmmmm. it tasted like something i'd get from a restaurant. that's the thing about rto being gone, it never seems practical to order a pizza. so this one is just the right size for me and it's really easy to cook. (yeah, yeah, what frozen pizza isn't?)

mom said she'd heard about this somewhere.....

but i kept forgetting to look for it until i saw one in the paper today. though i don't even want to think about how many hours i'd spend converting my records, the cd's were taxing enough.

conversation with mom

MK: yeah, so i tried to iron the skirt i wore tonight.

mom: really?

MK: yeah, um, it didn't turn out so well.

mom: you didn't burn it did you?

MK: no, no, i was really careful about that, kept the setting low. gave up after the first couple creases.

mom: well, you've made hummus and ironed. two domestic things in 24 hours.... that's an accomplishment.

headache? Posted by Picasa

quick question....

I've got a box o' baby spinach(it's the only kind of salad i'll eat), I ate some last night (before i heard about the e. coli thing) and suffered no ill effects... yet. should i throw it out? kay, on the news just now they say throw it out. maybe i just got lucky. how long would it take me to get sick?

update: chucked the salad. and if this site is right i've got another day before i'm in the clear.

how many weeks make a pattern???

cause i'm headed for a stupid one. the last few weeks there's been at least one night i stay up til five a.m. yeah. hasn't ever been the same night from one week to the next. anyway, it's not pretty when i don't get enough sleep. i suppose it wouldn't be a problem if i didn't have things to do during the day, but so far, I still do. ugh.

Patrick Woods

from the Staten Island Advance:

Lives Remembered

Patrick Woods, 36, was installing cubicles in Tower 2

He called home just after the building was hit; his brothers believe he
tried to help others

Three brothers so close they did everything together became one less
Sept. 11 when Staten Islander Patrick Woods, the oldest of the trio, lost his
life after the World Trade Center disaster.

The 36-year-old was a member of the Local 608 of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. He was installing cubicles for employees of AON Insurance on the 103rd floor of Tower 2 when it was attacked. His body was identified yesterday. "He called my dad to say he was OK just after Tower 2 was hit. Then he said, 'They're jumping out of windows, dad. I gotta go.' I know he didn't jump. He wouldn't give up," said his 33-year-old younger brother, Christopher. After he got off the phone with his father, family members said Mr. Woods called his mother to tell her not to worry.

"We were all very close. The last time I saw him was September 6. It was my birthday party," said Christopher. Family described Mr. Woods as a "good union man" who was extremely loyal. A Brooklyn native, he moved to Dongan Hills with his family at age 17. At the time of his death, Mr. Woods had been living with his father, Patrick, and his youngest brother, 28-year-old Thomas.

"He had a heart of gold," said Thomas. Because he was an outgoing person and known to "help anyone in need," his brothers believe he probably tried to be a hero in the midst of all the chaos. Mr. Woods loved frequenting the beaches of Staten Island, especially Great Kills and Midland Beach, where he would lay in the sun for hours working on his tan. In addition to his brothers, Christopher and Thomas, and his father, Patrick, surviving is his mother, Eileen Conroy.

you can find other tributes to him here and here.

was it just me?

or did Frank Keating just totally get the President that was in office in 1995 wrong on Fox News? He said President Bush came and talked to all the families (he even qualified it with "who was President then"). he just fixed it. phwew, was worried he might get taken out by some angry Dems.

does Fox have some kind of deal with television makers?

it's like they're trying to force me to get a big screen. could they make the stat bar any smaller?

granted, i could blow the picture up a little, but i'd be cutting off the sides. wouldn't be getting the whole picture. losers.

scene from rehearsal

MK: do we have a rehearsal tomorrow?

AL: yep

MK: huh, darn.

AL: please, like you had any plans.

MK: yeah, just drinking and passing out.... guess i'll have to push that back a night.

other fun bits, for whatever reason i feel the need to entertain everyone around me on stage, mainly with bad dancing. not sure what that's about. then there was the bit where everyone is supposed to watch me to cue some left/right snappy thing.... did they do it? no! and we're not talking just getting the left/right mixed up, we're talking on or off beat. i may have been wrong. and i'm doing some of my ugliest singing evar! this will not last..... hopefully.
