I showed this to RTO and he said, "There's a reason that's a child's pullover." um... "only a child could be forced to wear it" ha ha, yeah. seems he's trying to get some good lines in before he leaves for a few days. I won't share the one about why he missed the Easter egg hunt yesterday.

we went out to RTO's parents' place yesterday and his nephews had an egg hunt. I grabbed some pics with my phone.

actually, I think I had enough Thursday at work. and I made cupcakes and eated them too. well, there are still some left. I'll post pics eventually. in the mean time, headed to OKC for a wedding reception this weekend.

(they got delayed at DFW last week thanks to the snow and missed their originally scheduled Saturday ceremony. last I heard it was supposed to be today at 5 p.m.) wait, I think I have a better picture....

the one part of my job I hate, hate, hate! and of course I get to do them cause everyone else hates them too. nobody reads the policy and then they whine when you tell them why they won't get paid in a timely fashion when they made mistakes. ugh.

so, it snowed tonight, but it didn't stick to anything. another gray day.

I'm this close to finishing another bebe blanket. (it's all knitted, I just need to hide all the loose ends) haven't decided yet what my next project will be. i'm thinking some kind of cross-stitch or needlepoint, but there's some organizing that needs to be done beforehand.

or I've got fabric for a skirt and perhaps by the time I finished it, it would be warm enough to wear it. unless it turns out hideous of course.

I've been recording in bits and pieces lately, um, let me think.... since Der Freischutz there's been Manon Lescaut (with Caballe and Domingo), Falstaff (eh, I'd have to live with this one a while to appreciate it, I think), Abduction from the Seraglio (kinda short and simple compared to the Mozart I'm familiar with) and a couple of Beverly Sills albums (Bellini & Donizetti Heroines and Plasir D'amour) she r0x0rz on the Bellini and Donizetti, the French stuff is kinda hit or miss. to me anyway. Today was a couple sides of Otello, which I'm having a hard time following in the old Schirmer score I've got. the type is kinda squirrelly and I think the english person tried to stick close to Shakespeare. so it's an English "translation" of an Italian "translation" of the original English. Those kinds of things always turn out well.

oh, and hey, my sleep times are completely wonky lately. hopefully I'll get it straightened out tomorrow. har! current plan is to hit the polling place after therapy. should be interesting to see how busy it is (or isn't, though i'm guessing it's more likely to be "is")

haven't really been paying attention to the weather the last couple days. it was kinda cloudy today, but warm, so I was checkin' to see if there was rain nearby before we decided to walk the dog and I found this:

Some parts of North Texas could see some snow on Monday, especially north of the Metroplex, by the late afternoon and evening. MacLaughlin said bridges and overpasses might see up to 1 inch of snow on Monday evening.

On Monday night, the lows will drop to sub-freezing temperatures and into the 20s with the wind chill.
